Betalbatim located north of Colva is about 8 kms away from Madgaon. Betalbatim beach is popularly also called the sunset beach. Betalbatim typical of south Goa beaches is a secluded beach and an ideal place to stay if you want to explore the beaches in this region and want a peaceful locale to do so! Dolphin watch boat rides are very popular in Betalbatim.

Betalbatim located to the south of the Majorda Beach owing to the spectacular sunsets it offers is popularly also known as the “Sunset beach of Goa”. Betalbatim beach thanks to the afforestation efforts is covered by 'suru' trees instead of the typical swaying palms. The Betalbatim Beach is also lined with a number of shacks offering Goan cuisines especially sea food along with international cuisines.

Benaulim beach which is part of the same stretch of beach as Betalbatim is located about 7 kms south of Betalbatim with many shacks to the north of the main Benaulim beach entrance.

"Menino Jesus"

Just 2 kms south of Betalbatim is Colva famous for the "Menino Jesus" statue at the local church of Our Lady of Mercy founded in 1630 located in Colva village. This church in Colva is famous for its annual Fama of Menino Jesuse since the 17th century. The predominantly Catholic community celebrates it on the third Monday of October every year. It is one of Goa's most popular feasts and a big fair is held on the occasion at Colva.

Majorda beach is located about 4 kms north of Betalbatim. The main church in Majorda is the Mae De Deus church which was founded in 1588. Majorda is famous for the Goa Christmas Carnival it hosts which is celebrated with great pomp and fervor
